Honesty & security
Built to be inspected, not trusted blindly.
The jiggler market sells “undetectable.” Ghost sells the opposite. It is plain USB hardware that does one thing, in the open, and leaves the rest of your machine exactly as it found it.
What Ghost will never do.
Move your cursor or type
Ghost sends zero input events. No pointer jiggle, no keystrokes, no fake activity. A run keeps moving because the machine reads as awake, not because something is poking it.
Install software or sit in the background
No menu-bar app, no login item, no daemon, no kernel extension, no auto-updater. It is standard USB HID. Unplug it and nothing is left behind.
Phone home
The device has no radio and no network path. It cannot collect or send telemetry, because it is a piece of USB hardware, not an agent running on your machine.
Hide from your OS or MDM
Ghost enumerates as a standard composite HID plus a headless-display descriptor. It changes no system settings and conceals nothing from your operating system or device management.
Bypass your lock screen
It works locked, logged out, and with the screen off, but it grants no access. Ghost holds the machine awake; it never unlocks it or stands in for you.
What it actually is.
No asterisks. The same facts your IT team would read off the USB descriptor.
- Reports as
- Composite HID + headless display descriptor
- Software
- None: no drivers, login items, or kernel extensions
- Network
- No radio, no connectivity, no telemetry
- Firmware
- USB-DFU updatable, signed images only
- Input
- Zero events: no pointer, no keyboard
- System settings
- Unchanged; nothing hidden from your OS
And the part most companies bury in the footer:
Ghost keeps a machine awake. It does not make unattended work safe by itself. Battery, heat, and what you leave running are yours to manage, and if your organization has a policy about preventing sleep, follow it. We would rather tell you that up front than dress it up.
